Stone Island ART Numbers by Era: What Real Tags Look Like (90s to 2026)

Stone Island's tags have changed a lot over the years. Knowing what a real one looks like for the era of the piece is one of the quickest ways to spot a fake. Here is what we see on real pieces, era by era, with photos of real tags that have been through our hands. Check any number with our free Stone Island ART number checker.

Older pieces (90s and 2000s)

Older labels carry the Sportswear Company (SPW) details, with the address in Ravarino, Italy, and some include Japanese importer details. The ART number is shorter and mixes numbers and letters, for example 29155N80/A or 4615A340/241. There is no Certilogo code on pieces from this era, so the ART number and the label itself are what you check.

2010s

The cream tag shows the ART number printed under the Stone Island logo, with a mix of numbers and letters, for example 57156T1Y3.

2014 to 2021: care label and Certilogo

Certilogo was introduced in 2014. On pieces from this period the care label has its own number and lot code, for example 671910208 / LOTT-17-129. The ART number is the first set of numbers on the left, under the logo. Certilogo codes can be verified online, but a pass is a good sign, not a guarantee.

2021 to 2025

The tag shows the ART number together with a colour code and the size, for example Art. 771540324, colour code V0052, and the size marked Tg. There is an RFID symbol on the white label.

2026 onwards

The newest ART numbers start with letters instead of numbers, for example K1S153100031S0003, with a colour code like V0020. The white label now shows both NFC and RFID symbols.

The fake: ART numbers ending in 222

On older pieces that only have an ART number and no Certilogo code, an ART number ending in 222 is fake. We have seen it on fake tags, for example 571540222. See why a 222 ending is a red flag.

One important point

No single check proves a piece is genuine. A good ART number can be copied, so always look at the whole garment: labels, stitching, badge, zips and fabric. Read our full guide on how we authenticate every piece.
