How to read a Stone Island ART number
Share
Every Stone Island garment has an ART number on its label. It is an internal reference that tells you roughly when the piece was made, which line it belongs to and what type of garment it is.
The first five digits
The first two digits are the season. Even numbers are Spring/Summer and odd numbers are Autumn/Winter. For example, 78 is Spring/Summer 2023 and 81 is Autumn/Winter 2024. The next two digits are the product line (15 is the main Stone Island line, 19 is Shadow Project). The fifth digit shows the garment type, for example knitwear, trousers or jackets.

One important point
An ART number only tells you what a garment is meant to be. It is not proof that a piece is genuine, because numbers can be copied. Authenticity comes from checking the whole garment.
